Well I think its safe to say I have learned my lesson about keeping up my blogs because I have so much to say and so little time to write this out. I will do my best to hit the main points to maybe fill in the gaps that some of you may have.
Many of you who have supported me in the past year know that I was going to depart from Bulgaria May 15th and some of you might be wondering where the heck I am! To keep things short and not to full of detail I got a job offer to work with a different church here in Sofia that would cover the some of my funding I need to live out here. What am I doing for this church ? At the moment I have many titles that some of you can relate to. Assistant Missions Director, Head of Children ministry, and youth pastor for Bridge church. Bridge church is an amazing church that is spirit fed. It works on connecting the Roma with the Bulgarians and this is really amazing in my mind. Its slow work but there is steady change and the Lords hands are on it completely.
Lately I have been working with the Roma children. We do kids fest in the villages and at our church here in Sofia. Kids vest are times where we create a theme and create a fun atmosphere for them to just forget that they live a hard life. My heart honestly melts every time I get to build a new relationship with a Roma child. You may not think you are doing much but in all reality you honestly are you become the stable Christian in this child’s life and there is not a more precious gift one can ask for. Besides Kids Fest we are planing to do VBS in all the roma villages we can. Whats Cool is I am not planning the VBS I am letting the Bulgarians plan it. I will provide an outline, an example of a filled out outline, and the theme with the stories for each day. One they don’t have VBS ‘s here in Bulgaria and two I want them to do the work because I won’t always be around and they need to learn this effective way of ministering to kids!
other then that I have been really busy helping take care of some american teams and it has been a blast I really love doing this despite its stressful moments. Its amazing to watch first time short term missionaries or even 2nd comers here to Bulgaria catch the passion and love that the Lord has for Bulgaria. Its really an encouragement to me and keeps me going and pushing along when things get tough here.
Lastly I want you all to keep a ministry in prayer that we are starting to develop a plan through prayer to accomplish this. The Balkan area is the known for its human trafficking and prostitution. If you follow me on facebook you saw I posted something about a prostitute that I watched get picked up and for some reason that has really burdened my heart. I presented this burden to Pastor Dinko and we are currently working on developing a plan to minister to this need and rescue those caught up in it.
I love ya’ll hope you have an amazing day just thought I would post a quick update!
